naqaqa giving foundation

The Naqaqa Giving Foundation (NGF, pronounced "Nanganga") is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable foundation that provides direct support and assistance to disadvantaged people in the Fiji islands and in Southern Africa. It was founded in 2006 by best-selling American author Gavin de Becker, who provides its primary funding. NGF has allocated over $4,000,000.00 in Fiji since inception.

Since being founded in 2004, The Naqaqa Giving Foundation has provided health, infrastructure, and educational assistance to the communities of Fiji's remote northern islands. NGF focuses on strengthening villages and providing locals with the resources to improve their own lives in a manner consistent with their own values and ideals.

NGF has created a replicable formula for dispensing aid to rural populations in developing countries. As capacity increases, programs can be brought to different parts of Fiji, where the need remains dire. In an area often overlooked by world media and aid organizations, NGF tries to make a difference in the lives of people in need.

Many hundreds are healthier, better educated, have permanent shelter, more clothing, clean water, regular food, and in some instances are still alive because of the work NGF does. For more information please visit the NGF website for a window into this important work.
